Maria Montessori was an Italian physician who developed a theory in the 1900’s that a child’s natural curiosity is one of the main driving factors in raising independent children who will become the world’s future leaders. She developed a method of education known as the Montessori method that is widely used today.
The Montessori method emphasized independence, creativity, and curiosity. Some of the key components of the Montessori method include mixed-age classrooms, freedom of choice, uninterrupted learning time, and teachers who have been specially trained in the Montessori method, all of which is embodied in each of our programs at Seeds..
This Preschool and Childcare was built out of a vision of creating a space that could serve all children seeking early learning needs with flexible scheduling for parents. Our teaching philosophy is based on Dr. Maria Montessori’s learning methods, which pairs harmoniously with nature based learning and an emphasis on mindfulness. We believe raising children takes a village, we want to be part of your village.
