Lower Elementary

Our Montessori Lower Elementary program serves children ages 5 to 9 (Grades K- 3), building on the foundation developed in the Early Childhood years. In this stage, students transition from concrete experiences to more abstract thinking, guided by their natural curiosity and desire for independence.

The classroom is a dynamic, mixed-age environment where students explore subjects like math, language, cultural studies, science, and practical life through hands-on materials and collaborative learning. Emphasis is placed on fostering critical thinking, responsibility, and a love for discovery.

With individualized lessons and freedom within limits, children are encouraged to follow their interests while developing key academic and social skills. Our Lower Elementary program nurtures confident, compassionate, and engaged learners who are eager to understand the world around them.

Cosmic Education is a cornerstone of the Montessori Elementary curriculum, designed to inspire a sense of wonder and interconnectedness in children. It introduces students to the “big picture” of the universe—from the formation of the stars and Earth to the development of life, human history, and the contributions of different cultures.

Through engaging stories, hands-on materials, and interdisciplinary exploration, students learn how everything in the universe is connected and has a purpose. This approach helps children see their unique place in the world and understand their role in contributing to the greater good.

Cosmic Education nurtures curiosity, gratitude, and a deep respect for all living things, encouraging children to become thoughtful stewards of the planet and compassionate members of society.
